The average cost to rescue
one Havanese in 2007 was $570.95


Expenses for rescue dogs may include:nomoneyhav.gif
  • Spay/Neuter
  • Vaccinations
  • Fecal and heart worm tests
  • Mandatory medications
  • Corrective surgical procedures
  • Repair of injuries
  • Euthanasia (when necessary)
  • Animal shelter release fees
  • Boarding fees (for quarantine of contagious or possibly contagious rescues)
  • Micro-chipping
  • Transportation in areas where volunteers can not be found
  • Crates
  • Any other necessary cost incurred

Food, bedding, toys, etc. are usually provided
by our very generous foster families.


Administrative costs, such as the ones below, are not included in the amount specified above.

    • Web site hosting
    • Phone bills (mostly long distance)
    • Forms routing service fee
    • Legal/Professional fees
    • Postage (for reimbursing volunteers, etc)
