Ted is a ten-month-old fluffy ball of energy. He loves to play tug-of-war with his foster parents and is learning how to play fetch.

He has two foster doggy buddies that he gets along with well, and he loves a good game of rough and tumble. A family with a dog (or two!) that loves to play would be perfect for this very active guy.

Ted is a smart, loving, typical "velcro dog" Havanese, well maybe a little more velcro than some. Ted is learning that it is ok when people leave, they will be back.

He is also learning that grooming is a necessary evil in the life of a Havanese.

Ted's wish list definitely includes a home where Ted in NorCal babygatehis person is with him most of the time - preferably an experienced dog owner who is patient andTed in NorCal IMG 3123 cropped willing to put in the time to train him.

He has learned many words and commands during his time in foster care [eg. Sit, Down, Wait, Gentle, Stay, Leave it, Take it, Drop it, Watch Me, Fetch, Gentle, Come, Inside, Out of the way], and with continued work, Ted will be a trusting, happy and dare we say brilliant pup!

Ted would also benefit from an active life, maybe dog agility or rally; he would love to take hikes with you and a buddy dog, followed by some good lap time. That would be Ted's ideal life.

Ted will continue working with his foster family on learning good doggie life skills to make sure he is ready to go to his furever home as a well-behaved young pup.Ted in NorCal in field
