Gracie has worked with a trainer as she was too much puppy, too happy, and exuberant for her family to handle. Local adopters are given preference due to continuance and consistency for training. She would be best in a home as the only dog.

HeadPlaceHolderGracie has most of the traditional Havanese traits. She’s very friendly, outgoing, and loves to meet new people -  even kids - and all creatures big and small. The jury’s still out on cats. Gracie tried to make friends with one at the vet until she hissed, so maybe…maybe not!

Gracie in FL 2She has a happy expression, sweet nature, a puppy-like curiosity (her nose is in everything!) and a mischievous interest that Gracie in FL4matches her unbridled energy most all the time. She can’t help it! She is still a puppy at 18 months which gets her into trouble at times.

Gracie is doggie-door, crate, and leash trained! She is not fully housebroken but will often use piddle pads and she is learning to let us know when she needs to go “walkies.” Gracie loves to ride in the car and is the perfect companion traveler!

She has yet to learn limitations and boundaries but…she answers to her name! Gracie is almost too athletic and agile. She LOVES to rumble and plays hard. She can be overly playful. She will play with toys, balls, and anyone or anything that will play with her. If another pet or person is unwilling or unavailable, she’s perfectly happy playing by herself!Gracie in FL5

She is allowed on the furniture, sleeps in bed with her humans through the night! Gracie is healthy and strong, up to date on vaccinations, is microchipped, spayed and weighs a robust 20.4 pounds.

She is smart, sweet, loves to stay close, snuggle and cuddle, but is not very “Grace-ful” about settling in! PLOP!

She is always good for the groomer. Gracie has beautiful white and chestnut silky hair, amber eyes and a brown nose you are sure to fall in love with.

Gracie would be best in a home as the only dog. She would love to be the queen of the house. Another dog would need to be very calm and chilled or submissive  around Gracie.

GRACIE is being fostered in Florida.

A fee will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended fee amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any.  A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
