lucy_ny_small.jpgLucy has undergone two surgical procedures during the past year for recurrent bladder stones and she has inoperable liver shunts and some irritable bowel syndrome.  She is on a very special homemade diet designed just for her by the special doctors at Cornell.  She also has to take some prescribed medications and will require urinalysis at least every three months.  She displays no visible or behavioral symptoms and even had the vets fooled!

Lucy’s situation requires that we find her a very special forever family that maybe even has a special relationship with a veterinarian.  Lucy was raised with children that she loved and has also enjoyed the presence of other dogs in her foster home so children are OK as long as they are old enough to understand that Little Lucy can never be fed treats or people food.  She will be better rewarded with lots of love and attention and she is used to having someone around during the day.

Lucy is currently being fostered in upstate New York.  If you think you have that special home that can appreciate both the true Havanese spirit and the special needs of Lucy please contact us.  You will need to complete an adoption application, specify your interest in Lucy and please tell us why you would be willing to adopt this loving Havanese.
