CHICA FL 2017Chica is as loving as she is cute, which is saying a lot! She is her foster mom’s shadow and follows her everywhere. She is outgoing and friendly and loves kids and adults alike. She’s especially fond of men and flirts to gain attention. Chica loves to play, especially with squeaky toys. She’s quite good at fetch and will play as long as you’re willing to throw the toy. She’s always ready for some snuggling and lap time, too. CHICA IN FL 2017 BEDShe’s very cued into people and watches attentively. Her foster mom says Chica is very smart.

Though she gets along with both dogs and cats, Chica would probably be very happy to be an only dog as long as she has lots of attention from her people. She’s quite energetic and needs a family that’s ready to devote attention to her. She’s happiest when she’s with people, be it playing, getting pets and snuggles, riding in a car or going for walks. Her friendly and loving nature would be great qualities for her as a therapy dog. She needs continued work on her manners such as not pulling on the leash, sitting back from the door and not pouncing on her food. She came with a habit of barking, but with focused work with her foster family, this has improved quite a bit. Her new family will need to continue to work on this when she adjusts to her adoptive home.

Chica was piddle pad trained in her first home, but is learning to go outside during the day with her foster siblings now that she’s in foster care. She’s had a couple accidents at night, but is currently being treated for a UTI (urinary tract infection) which may be impacting her. Chica is also being treated for an ear infection.CHICA FL 2017 YARD
