Max in TX headshotMax is such a good boy! Affectionate and sweet-natured, he behaves like a gentleman and at seven-years old still loves to romp and play but is also happy to curl up next to you on the couch and watch TV. He is housetrained, crate-trained, leash-trained, and perfectly content to hang out by himself if you need to go to work for a while.

Max in TX 1As he has gotten more comfortable in his foster home, his personality shines. He loves to gather toys from around the house and make his own private pile. He will then bring them to you when he’s ready to play. He is especially playful in the mornings and after he’s eaten supper.

Max loves his crate and will go there by himself when he needs a little R&R or when his foster fur-sisters get a little too noisy for him. He is perfectly content to sleep in his crate at night if there is no room on the big bed but will definitely prefer to sleep with his new family if allowed.

Max came from a loving home and is perfectly healthy. He rarely barks—although his foster sisters seem determined to change that! Max does not like cats, not at all, but gets along great with other dogs. He is frightened by young children, because he’s never been around them much, and would probably do best in an all-adult home or one with older children.

Max is being fostered in TX.
