Pepper is an absolutely charming 3 yr. old black & white Havanese with excellent manners and tends to be on the quiet, calm side. She is an exceptionally gentle, sweet natured dog who would love to be part of a quiet home that has lots of love to give.l
Pepper weighs 20 lbs. and is "walking" on losing a couple of pounds, is in excellent health otherwise, and loves to go on walks! When the leash comes out, all four paws explode off the floor and the happy dance begins. She has begun to enjoy running at the local doggie park, not too interested in toys yet, but does enjoy the occasional chew stick.
Pepper is house trained, gets along with other dogs and is also very comfortable with the large, sometimes pushy cat at her foster home. She loves sleeping in her foster parent's bed with them and loves all types of cuddles. She enjoys the light, daily grooming and hardly noticed having her nails clipped. Her hair is lovely and thick and in the process of growing out, and with regular brushing will be quite pretty.
Pepper has acted very calm and appropriate with young children, but with the older adults she is a super love bug, just can't cuddle enough. So it may be that she prefers an older family, in any case, Pepper would be a treasure to the family that adopts her.
