Trooper is an extremely laid back and quiet white-and-black Havanese who likes adults, kids, and other dogs. He craves lots of love and attention, and although he doesn't give kisses, he does like to give and receive hugs. More than anything, he loves to have his big belly rubbed.
Eight-year-old Trooper enjoys his walks around Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, with his foster mom. Good thing he likes to take walks because he needs to lose a considerable amount of weight. Currently tipping the scales at 19 pounds, Trooper has already lost a pound on his new weight-management diet since coming into HRI.
Trooper and his foster mom are still getting to know each other, but it is already clear that he loves company and doesn't like to be left alone. Trooper also needs to find a forever family that is committed to his health and will help him get in better shape by feeding him the appropriate amount of high-quality food and walking with him every day.
Trooper is being fostered in DC.
