Phil is a laugh-out-loud adorable bright light of love and hugs, with a little twinkly attitude all his very own. Weighing in at 12 pounds and between 3 and 4 years old, he has a black coat and a white goatee.
How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand? Just one snuggly cuddle session with little Phil, and you never need ask that again! Phil likes to give the impression that he is Mr. Independent, but the opposite is true. He loves being with his humans. Phil fancies himself a watchdog extraordinaire.
He loves walks with his leash, sunning and exploring in the backyard, and loves being held in his human’s arms. He likes to run and fetch and then pretend that he's bringing the ball back to you. Phil is a tease!
Be ready and willing to learn Phil's language. When he is snuggling, he purrs with contented bliss. He has a soft, gentle howl for when he is hungry or needs a hug. When he feels anxious or threatened, he has a baby-monster snarl that, at first, will make you believe that you should grab the holy water and call a priest, but giving a gentle “No” and then softly putting him on the floor and ignoring him will have him coming back with his imaginary angel wings all smoothed out once again!
His wish for his forever home is for another furry playmate, preferably a gentle female his own size (larger dogs scare him) who will be patient as he adapts to his new surroundings. He is used to someone who works from home or is retired. Phil would like to be as much the center of your universe as possible.
Phil is being fostered in Texas.
