VINNIE NC 2017 HEADSHOT

Eight-year-old Vinnie is ready to join his forever family. He is housebroken, up to date on all his vaccines, heartworm and flea medications. At 13.5 pounds, he is at his ideal weight - his love of walking briskly certainly helps to keep him trim (even though he is a big fan of cookies). When he is out for a walk, he stays on task - no stopping, sniffing or marking for him!

Vinnie is a sweet guy who, like all Havanese, adores his people. He is very much in love with his foster mom and follows her everywhere, but he is pragmatic enough to turn his affection to other people when she is away. He is still a bit shy around new people and new places, especially around children since he has never lived with them. He looks to his foster mom for reassurance, and one or two cookies will convince him that everything is ok. He is used to being with other dogs, though, and he gets along well with his two foster brothers.

Vinnie sleeps in the bed and really doesn't like being crated. He waits patiently at the door for his foster mom to return. When he is happy, he likes to "talk" - which can be seen and heard in one of the videos.

Vinnie is a handsome guy without any major medical issues except for an inoperable cataract in one eye. According to his ophthalmologist, the cataract causes him no pain and there is no need for surgery. As for Vinnie himself, has no idea that he is only seeing with one eye and it doesn't bother him in the slightest.

Vinnie would love to find his very own person (or family) to be with, to follow around and to talk to!

Vinnie is being fostered in North Carolina.

His foster mom said this about Vinnie: “Vinnie is a talker, and this is what he says whenever we come back from a walk.”
