Ten-year-old Harper Lee has devoted her life as a service dog. It’s now time for her retirement. She is a petite ten pounds. She is black with grey and white tipping. This beautiful and well-trained Havanese is looking for a forever family to love and pamper her.
Harper Lee knows commands in English and Spanish and also follows hand signals. She’s house trained, leash trained and crate trained. Harper Lee gets along with children, teenagers, men and women. She also does well with other dogs and with cats.
Harper Lee is a happy dog and adjusts well to new situations. She enjoys the good things in life - playing with toys, riding in a car and eating. Another favorite activity is “reading” to her foster mom’s great-granddaughter. Harper Lee would probably be an excellent therapy dog in a reading program with children.
Harper Lee will be a wonderful addition to the family fortunate enough to adopt her. She’s hoping for a home where there are people there to interact with her throughout the day and enjoy her delightful personality.
Harper Lee is being fostered in PA.
