Petite Luna weighs a mere 8 pounds.
This darling senior girl, age 13, came to HRI after her beloved owner passed away. Luna loves people and is getting accustomed to her foster home. She isn’t friendly to the other dogs in the foster home and would like to be an only dog in her forever home. She assures you she is so sweet and loving that she can keep you in good company all on her own!
Luna is partially blind due to cataracts, but is otherwise healthy. She recently went to the vet for a senior exam including blood work and was declared to be in good condition. Luna is good on a leash but because she can’t see well, she’s not up for long walks. She prefers to do her business outside and then go back inside again.
Luna is being fostered in Florida.
If you're already smitten, feel free to complete an application, however, please be aware than our dogs must be in their foster homes for a minimum of two weeks for evaluation. This is for their benefit, and yours, to help ensure a successful placement in a permanent home.
A fee will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended fee amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any. A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
