Hi, my name is Iggy. I live in Florida and have for as long as I can remember. But my world turned upside-down recently when my human passed away.
But my foster family has been wonderful, and I have fun playing with my new toys 
and going on walks with my foster family. They say I bounce and prance now on our walks! I'm 26 pounds and am working on losing a few more.
I am only 8 years old which is not old for us Havanese! I am housebroken, crate trained, and love my walks on a leash! I love my toys and enjoy flinging them around, rolling on them, and playing with them, hearing them squeak, so I am easily entertained. And I am a true Velcro dog! Why live together if you aren't going to BE together, that's what I always say. 
To be honest, I will say that I don't like cats (who really does?). And full disclosure it took me a while to get used to my foster siblings. So, I would probably be happiest if I was in an "only dog" family because that's really what I was before I came to HRI.
Humm, what else? Oh, I don't know about small children, I've never been around them, but I do enjoy the older ones. The important thing is I am a good-natured fellow, great companion and I want to be happy again, with my own family. But since I grew up as an only dog in a one-human home, I really only need one person to love me. Could you be that person? We can share the best years of our lives together, happy at last.
A fee will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended fee amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any. A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
