Cricket is a playful, affectionate, gentle Havanese. She is moderately active and likes to go for walks and does well on her leash. She is crate trained in the car and at bedtime, though her favorite place to sleep is on her special pillow beside your bed. She is sweet and lovable, and eager to please you. She knows a few basic commands like sit, stay, come, and bye-bye when you leave.
Cricket is good with both women and men, though she can be uncomfortable with strangers. She prefers to not be picked up until she has gotten to know someone and she may show her displeasure with a small growl if picked up too soon.Cricket has not really experienced children, so an adult-only home may be preferable. She does like other dogs, but she doesn't have experience with cats, so we don't know how she would do.
If Cricket could write out a wish list, it would read like this:
- an adult-only home where someone special would love her,
- maybe with another dog as a playmate because she loves to play,
- not too many strangers coming in and out of the house, and
- a comfortable place where she can spend her nights sleeping near you.

A fee will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended fee amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any. A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
