Fiji is quite new to foster care and we are just getting to know this calm and quiet boy. So far he has not been comfortable enough to play with his canine foster siblings, but that may come in time as he is still adjusting to his new home. We do not know how he reacts to cats.
Fiji has quickly adjusted to his foster mom and dad, coming when called and is beginning to follow them around. A typical Havanese, he likes to be close. He is reportedly good with children.
At night he has been sleeping quietly in a crate next to his foster mom’s bedside. Sleeping in a crate is new for Fiji, but he has adjusted to this. He is also eating in his crate at this time.
Fiji loves his walks although he is cautious in new surroundings. He is leash reactive to other dogs and animals, but is able to be controlled in these situations. He would like a fenced yard when he is adopted.
We will share more information about Fiji as we get to know him better.
A fee will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended fee amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any. A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption.
Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
