No more rhymes and I mean it! Anybody want a Peanut? (Sorry - couldn't resist using one of our favorite lines from the movie "The Princess Bride".) We think you will want this Peanut. He is a gentle little soul who gets along well with everyone he meets, adults, kids and other animals. He greets everyone with an adorable little tail wag - charming his way into their life.
Peanut is also very affectionate and has become quite playful. On Peanut's list of favorite activities you will find going for a walk, taking a ride in the car, and hitting the beach.
When not out on an adventure, Peanut enjoys lounging in the same room with his person. Peanut also loves his meals and treats - with fresh fruit and vegetables at the top of his treat list!
This smart boy has learned "sit" and "wait" in less than a month and he's great with grooming and tooth brushing. It's heartwarming to watch him progress.
Peanut is working on his separation anxiety. He is very connected to his person, but is gaining confidence when his person is away. We think he would do well in a home that is quiet and would benefit from a confident dog companion. During separation anxiety he can be quite loud and howls, however he's made great progress checking in with another calm pup and calming himself. As Peanut's confidence builds, his distress decreases.
Peanut has a skin condition secondary to a prior flea infestation and needs weekly medicated baths as it resolves.
Peanut is being fostered in Maine.
