Popi (pronounced ‘Poppy’) is an 11 month old beautiful champagne/cream male puppy. His fur is very soft but he was very matted when he came in so he needed to be shaved down. He feels so much better now he runs around the yard as fast as his little legs can carry him!
Popi craves attention and would love to sit in a lap as long as he can get someone to hold him! At a small 8 lbs. he fits very nicely. He’s learned how to squirm his little body just the right way in a lap and is an expert snuggler. He loves to sit with his foster mom on the sofa as well. He has an exceptionally beautiful face, and eyes that melt whoever he’s looking at.
Popi enjoys running around the yard and also likes playing with other dogs. A home with at least another dog or older children will be on his wish list. He is a little shy and reserved, so his foster mom is working on building his confidence but as time passes, he’s becoming less shy and much more confident!
He is learning to like his crate and he’s working on his housebreaking too. Popi will make a wonderful pet with a little time and patience, and a family that will give him the love and attention he needs to build his confidence.
An update on Popi : approximately mid-March he will be having bilateral (both) knee surgery. We are confident he will do just fine, and after rehab and a lot of TLC, he’ll be back to romping with his foster sister’s . In fact, trying to keep him somewhat quiet will be the hardest part!
