Just take a look at this cute little guy. He was found wandering on the streets in Florida, covered with mats. At first look, his foster mom named him Scruffy.
His first haircut was a shave down to the skin and he lost about 2 pounds of mats and looked naked, but felt SO MUCH better when he was mat free! His hair is growing out now and he has a beautiful silky black coat and has gained back 2 pounds, but this time it is much needed body weight.
The vet thinks that Scruffy is about 4 years old and could possibly be a Havanese/Shih Tzu mix or Havanese/Cavalier King Charles mix. He is a good eater and LOVES treats, but it would appear that he went without food for awhile while he was homeless and living on the streets because he is very eager to take the treats from your hand.
Scruffy follows his foster mom EVERYWHERE with his tail wagging the whole time. He loves to play with toys and gets along well with other dogs. He is a big fan of car rides, leash walks and meeting new canine friends. He sleeps beside his foster momÕs bed at night in his own little doggie bed. 
Scruffy seems like a happy little dog who gets along well with men and women, but needs a home that does not have children under twelve years. Scruffy has a "dry eye". This means that he will need to have ointment put into this eye daily for the remainder of his life. He is nearly 100% potty trained, but cannot seem to learn how to use the doggie door! He is crate trained.
