HallieSmFaceHallie is about 6 years old and is a sturdy 14 pound Hav-mix. She was rescued from a puppy mill in March of 2011 and has lived with her foster mom since April.  Mostly red in color with silver tips on her ears, she is a very pretty girl who grows prettier as her hair grows longer.

Hallie has learned what toys and bones are. She loves the little tiny toys and will pick very specific toys out of the toy box to play with. She also likes chewing on knucklebones and heavy-duty rawhides. She enjoys being outside with her foster mom and the other dogs in the household. She will do little mad dashes from one side of the yard to the other. Hallie is a very curious girl. She explores all areas of her surroundings as well as watching everything you do. She likes to be very close to where her human is. She is not a barker. She gets along well with other dogs and even cats. Her favorite time of day is mealtime. She will race to her bowl with her tail wagging in anticipation of some kibble. Hallie is such a sweet girl. She doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. She's a smart girl and a big couch potato.

Hallie's Wish List is:Hallie

No children
Another dog
Quiet home
Fenced yard
Someone home most of the day

As a result of spending her entire life in a mill and at the hands of people who abused her, she has a fear of men. So a home without men would be preferable. She is very shy and is leery of new people and children. Hallie is going to need a quiet home, someone who is gentle, has a lot of love, and patience to give. Someone will have to commit to working with her a little bit everyday to earn her trust. She'll need to be brought out and about to see the world. If you work full time, this is not the right dog for you. She needs more human interaction or she will never progress. With kindness, understanding and socialization, she'll learn what it is like to be normal dog.

Hallie is being fostered in MN.

A donation will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended donation amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any.  A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption. Thank you for considering a rescue dog.
