Lucky is a very sweet, beautiful,little 9 month old pup, weighing 10 pounds but he most likely will put on a couple more pounds as he matures. He likes to play with his toys and with the other dogs in his foster home, loves interacting with everyone in the home but Lucky can also entertain himself when no one is available to play with him. He is a very bright fellow, learns quickly and is a willing worker.
Lucky is still a puppy and has the energy appropriate for his age. His foster mom, a professional dog trainer, reports that Lucky has been learning quickly. He knows sit and come very well and is still working on walking nicely on leash and practicing self-control.
Lucky is working on house training and understands what is expected, but he gets easily distracted outside and sometimes forgets why he is there. He is getting better and we expect that he will be completely house trained soon.
Lucky is a fairly confident pup, but he takes time to warm up to strangers. Given a little time and a choice, he will happily come up to most people and make friends, he just doesn't like to be rushed. His confidence with people has improved significantly while in his foster home. Lucky will hop up into your lap and spend time with you, where he loves gentle petting and giving kisses.
Lucky would probably do well in almost any home, either as an only dog or with another dog. He could be very happy playing with respectful older children. He would prefer being in a home where someone is home much of the day, as he is thriving on the attention he is receiving in his foster home. If his new family were interested, Lucky would probably love to do an activity like agility or obedience. He has tried K9 Nose Work and loved it and would probably make a good Therapy Dog.
