It is with a very heavy heart that I let you know that our sweet Riley (Riley from California) has crossed the rainbow bridge. This was my husband Bob’s very special boy and constant companion.
As he describes it, “During Riley’s late afternoon nap today, he decided he was going where he could eat cookies and chase squirrels all day.”
Riley came to us at 10 years old with cataracts and a pretty significant heart murmur. We had the cataracts removed and were delighted to watch Riley regain his eyesight & find those squirrels again!
The heart murmur rapidly turned into CHF which we have been able to stabilize for close to 5 years. His cardiologist was amazed at his longevity!
He was a most beloved member of our family and he will be missed greatly. We want to thank HRI for entrusting us to care for Riley during his most senior years! He had quite the best ride!
