Grady_head

Meet Grady, an adorable 11 month old male Havanese puppy.  He has come to us rather timid, but seems to be getting braver each day.  At first he did quite a bit of whimpering, and would nestle tightly into a ball on the sofa to sleep.

His foster mom says a crate seemed foreign to him but even in this short time, he is now crate trained. With a lot of patience and work from his foster mom, Grady now loves to snuggle and give lots of kisses away freely.  His foster mom says hGrady_Sofae now loves belly rubs (she doesn’t think he had many before). He seems to be completely house broken with few accidents, and has learned to sleep comfortably in his crate at night.  He is still working on relaxing and playing with his new toys, and has discovered that the toy box filled to the top is the greatest thing in the world and requires frequent visits!  He likes his walks each day and loves the treat he gets when he comes home.

His foster brother at first didn’t understand why Grady would have nothing to do with him.  He tried and tried to get him to play, and slowly but surely Grady has found that a friend to run and play with is more fun than anything (along with pulling ears, of course).  His foster mom says it’s adorable to watch both of them running in a blur around the house.  Grady loves Bully sticks and will chew feverishly right beside his new Buddy, with each taking turns tasting the other’s (just in case one is better than another!).
With a lot ofGrady_sitting_best patience and some time, Grady will make a wonderful family member as he continues to gain confidence and enjoy life.

Grady is being fostered in TX.
