Needs work on crate training and separation anxiety
Mable is a two-year-old female with a sweet, gentle, and loving soul. She gets along well with other dogs but is more interested in loving and spending time with her people.
Mable has inflammatory bowel disease but is stable on medication and a prescription diet. She is very cooperative with her treatment. She loves to eat, so there is no problem with that.
She loves to be brushed, going out for a walk, playing with her squeaky toys, and napping on the couch.
Mable really does not like to be home alone, nor does she like being confined. In fact, she has learned how to climb out of her x-pen. So, Mable will need someone who can lovingly devote the time and effort to work with her on both crate training and her separation anxiety.
Mable does well with older children who can be gentle and respectful of her size and health issue. We do not know how she feels about cats.
Mable is looking for a furever home with someone who is home most of the time and who can dedicate the time she needs to help her with her separation anxiety.
Her new person(s) also needs to be able to ensure that she receives her medication and meals as prescribed and support any necessary veterinary care in the future to continue to control her inflammatory bowel disease. In exchange, Mable will give you unconditional love, lots of laughter with the typical goofy Havanese antics, and the sheer joy of companionship.
Mable is being fostered in Washington State.
