Max in MNMax is a 2-year-old bundle of energy that is an extremely smart and very sweet boy, and all he wants is to please you. His favorite spot is half on half off the couch arm. He likes to snuggle up to you, relax on a doggie bed, and he often rolls over onto his back so he can get some belly rubs.

Max's favorite toy is a treat ball that releases treats when it is pushed around. Max also enjoys Max in MN on stairschewing on bones. Max is a little over weight and currently on a diet. He loves, loves, loves treats and he looks like he was fed too many of them! His ideal weight is around 18 lbs. and he is 13" at the withers.

Max is getting used to cats, unless a family is willing to work hard with this issue, he should go to a home without cats. He doesn't hurt them, but chases them down and barks at them. Max is also fearful of small children and will not be placed in a home with small children. He is good with well-behaved teenagers.

Max in MNMax needs much work in the manners department. He is learning how to behave inside a house and catching onto the rules quickly. It is highly recommended that Max take either a manners class or basic obedience class. He is very smart, exceptionally enthusiastic and highly treat motivated, and he would be a wonderful obedience dog.

Max is looking for a quiet home, but someone who is willing to walk him daily and keep him busy. He will walk a mile with no problem.  He is no couch potato and will get into things if left to himself. He would do best in a home with someone around most of the day. He enjoys playing with other dogs his size. He plays rough, but is learning to take it easy. He is crate trained and he is potty trained.
