Hi! My name is Max. I'm three years old and I just got neutered a few weeks ago. I am current on my vaccines,
have started my monthly heart worm prevention, and I had a dental, so my teeth are all clean and shiny. As you
can see, I am cuteness in an 12 1/2 lb package.
I am house trained and walk well on a leash. I love playing fetch and I generally bring the toys back so you can throw them again. I'm a bit shy when I first meet people; I haven't been exposed to a lot of people or loud situations,
so I prefer that you sit down to meet me and please bring a treat. I like treats very much. (As you can see, I am very food motivated, so I should be easy to work with).
I know how to sit and with some treats I'm sure I can learn some other commands. I haven't been on a leash much, but I'm trying to get used to the joggers and bikes - they scare me when they fly by me.
My ideal family would be calm and have someone home most of the day. Older respectful teens would be fine. I just don't think I'm up to younger kids because I haven't been around them and they make me very nervous. I may be shy around men initially, but with a treat or two and a gentle touch, I will become your friend. I also would prefer to sleep in bed, and it would be nice to have another dog friend so I could play. I am very well dog-socialized.
