Callie is a high-energy, inquisitive, and loving puppy. This fluffy white one-year-old is 11 pounds of energy and attitude with a good bit of playfulness to top it off .
Callie wants to be part of the family and loves to be with her people. She loves to play fetch, tug of war, and hide and seek--any high-energy game. She also plays well by herself. Callie has a very strong will and demands to be the alpha in the house. She needs a human who is firm, fair, and predictable in their expectations and work with her.
Callie is good with other dogs, but she's always the alpha dog. She does not like cats. She likes older children; we do not know how she feels about children younger than 12.
She is all puppy! Callie likes to chew, steal what is not hers, and bring the outdoors in. She is working on training, including learning to come when called and to walk without the Gentle Leader. She loves to go for walks and for rides in the car. Time with her people is the top of her "favorite things" list.
Callie has luxating patellas (kneecaps that dislocate) and chronic diarrhea, but she is housetrained. She is not crate trained.
Callie would benefit from someone who is home on a regular basis and not working 40 hours a week or more. She would be happiest as an only dog and would love a fenced yard where she could tear around. A family that wants to spend time with this engaging little dog and will continue work on her training will be the best fit.
Callie is being fostered in Northern California.
