Just look at that adorable face! Dee Dee is as sweet as her expression and, while initially a little shy, she warms up quickly and is very friendly with the people she’s met including the dog-savvy children who have visited. Though she enjoys being around people, Dee Dee is not clingy and will happily entertain herself in your company. She is quite fond of her toys.
Dee Dee has spent the first nine years of her life perfecting her loving personality and her manners. She is house trained and leash trained and loves a good walk. She’s put on some weight in the last few months and now weighs 18 pounds, but she’s working on dropping some of those excess pounds with regular exercise.
Playing in the backyard at her foster home has become one of Dee Dee’s favorite activities. She gets along well with the other dogs in the home. She hasn’t been exposed to cats.
As noted, Dee Dee loves being with people and would do best in a family where someone is home most of the time. She is well mannered and would also be a good companion at work if someone works from home or is able to bring her along.
We will share more about Dee Dee as we get to better know this delightful girl.
Dee Dee is being fostered in Kentucky.
