He loves a good belly or back rub, and everyone he meets is a friend. He greets visitors with tail waggin and no barking - a true gentleman.
Maverick is house-trained, leash-trained and crate -trained. He gets along with dogs and probably cats, too, but we don’t know for sure.
Since coming into foster care, Maverick has been treated for allergies. The medication is helping and now that he is feeling better he has begun to come out of his shell. He initiates play with his foster siblings and is beginning to show interest in toys, which he has never done before.
Maverick would love to live with people who are home a good part of the day, but he is adjusting to time alone as well. Love, affection and care are the most important things on his wish list.
Maverick is currently being fostered in Texas.
If you're already smitten, feel free to complete an application, however, please be aware than our dogs must be in their foster homes for a minimum of two weeks for evaluation. This is for their benefit, and yours, to help ensure a successful placement in a permanent home.
A fee will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended fee amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any. A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
