Macy is a funny 3 yr old girl, not small by any means, as she is a large Hav-mix and weighs about 25lbs. She has begun to warm up to people and wants so badly to join into the action but is still very cautious.
She has begun to enjoy her daily walks and is finding a world outside of a cage, is very interesting. She will not be a "sit on the lap" type dog, but in the right setting, she will eventually feel safe enough to come when called and be petted.
She's a curious girl. You can see that curiosity almost as soon as you meet her, but her fear of the world around her isn't far behind. She's working her way up to trusting her surroundings, but it may be a long road for her. This pretty girl who has been so abused in her short life needs and wants a patient home that is willing to continue working with her.
Macy would be happy in a family with another young dog that she can play with and learn trust from. She recently gave her fostermom her first "kiss", Macy knows that HRI will find her that loving, patient fur-ever room soon!
