Ginny is a 4 year old Havanese poodle mix, rescued from a puppy mill. Ginny is one of those who had litter after litter of puppies in the mill, and seemed very depressed and scared. She is quickly improving and settling in with a very loving foster home.
She is a beautiful girl, very sweet and her foster mom says she is unusually smart. Even though she is still a little afraid, she is quickly learning that the family and other dogs won’t hurt her, so she jumps from an x-pen to be near them. She loves to be held closely and petted, and seems to relish the affection she has never had in her life.
Ginny tried every dog bed and pillow in the house but seems to really like her crate. She sleeps quietly without complaint, and early in the morning she softly barks asking to be let out.
She is getting very good on her walks and is a pro with the leash, but is scared when she meets strangers. She is also mastering the stairs without a problem.
Ginny’s favorite pastime is to sit in her mom’s lap and watch world soccer! With a lot of time and patience, Ginny will learn to totally trust and become a wonderful pet. She certainly has made huge strides in a very short time!
