Hi, my name is Mia. My foster mom sometimes calls me "Mama Mia!" when I'm racing through the house to get the ball that my foster dad throws for me! I'm a very healthy and active 8 year old, with a svelte 13 pound figure.
I have my own huge sack of toys and just can't seem to stop playing, but of course life is all about having fun don't you agree?
The little boy I grew up with played with me all the time. He taught me to play-bark and play-growl as we both ran after a ball. I usually would get it first because I can run fast and jump really high. Oh, and I know how to dance on my back legs, too. I am well behaved, quite vocal, and am completely housebroken. I love going outside, running in the fenced yard and exploring.
I have another side, too. I love to be with my people. I'm well-mannered and will wait until they invite me up on the furniture with them. If they don't notice me (I told you I'm rather svelte 
didn't I?), I will whimper to get their attention. Once invited up, I love to sit on a lap or snuggle up close and watch tv or read a book with them. I let them pet my beautiful soft body, scratch my ears, rub my tummy, or whatever else makes them happy. It's the least I can do. In return, I make sure I watch out for them by sounding an alarm if I hear a suspicious sound.
I wouldn't mind being an only "child" in my new home, but I can get along with other dogs. I haven't lived with a cat before. I would like a fenced yard, someone to play with and cuddle with most of the day. I will bring my own toys, but I'll be so happy if you can buy me some new ones, too!
