Gus is about 7 months old, with a striking coat and has been adjusting quickly to his foster home. This sweet boy is a very good traveler, in fact at just a mere 8 pounds, he'll easily fit in a Sherpa for traveling. He is also crate trained, both eating in his crate and sleeping through the night without a peep.
Gus gets along well with other Havanese and completely ignores the cats in his foster home. (The family cats are quite pleased with this!) Gus also plays well with children, the 8 and 9 year old boys in his current foster family and he was reported to do well with the toddler in the family where he lived right before coming to rescue. It's important to remember though that Gus is a puppy. Right now he's learning not to jump, a tough lesson for a friendly little pup! He could knock down small children with this habit.
Though he loves playing, Gus loves snuggling on your lap even more. When the kids in his current foster family sit on the floor to play with him, he instead curls up on their laps! He's so sweet and affectionate! Gus knows no strangers and is friendly with both men and women.
Gus's coat had to be clipped short to remove the mats. He's so soft and silky, it's wonderful to pet this little guy. He's very cute now and will be beautiful when his coat grows back.
Gus is busy learning manners and is working on being house trained. As with any puppy, his new home will have to be puppy-proofed and lee-way given for accidents while he works on his house training with a new family. He will repay his new family with wags and kisses galore. Gus would love to be loved by you!
Gus is being fostered in Wisconsin.
