Kiwi is a 5 month old pup rescued from a mill breeder. He has a heart condition (PDA) but it is operable and the surgery to correct it will be done next week. A total recovery is expected and Kiwi will have a long and wonderful life. He is a 5-1/2 pound bundle of silky energy and has no idea he is anything but perfect.
Kiwi is as playful as any puppy can be and loves to be with people. He gets along well with other dogs and will keep on them until they realize how great he is and will finally give in to play. He is very smart, house training is going well and he is learning to fetch and give. He has a nose for treats and people food and will let you know he expects his share (we are working on breaking that habit!).
Kiwi's perfect home would have at least one younger dog (or the opportunity to be with other dogs) who can keep up with his puppy exuberance. Kiwi would be fine with kids but smaller children might find his puppy antics a bit rough. Kiwi loves to snuggle in your lap and lay his head on your shoulder. He will make someone a terrific companion and will let you know every day how lucky you are to have him!
Kiwi is being fostered in Kentucky.
