Sadly, Sammy, while only seven-months-old, suffered from many health issues and his health deteriorated rapidly. Unfortunately, because he was no longer enjoying any quality of life, he went to the Rainbow Bridge on May 9, 2014, where he will hopefully find peace and comfort.
Though he was only a baby, Sammy had some hard times. He was a little fearful of being touched, but thanks to his foster family and a professional trainer he was learning to trust his humans. Sammy was crate-trained, but was working on his housetraining and learning how to walk on a leash. When you got him in the yard, his joyful, Havanese nature shone through and he ran around in happy circles. Sammy loved to explore and play in the yard. He was best with children over 12 and got along well with other dogs.
Though he only touched our lives for a short time, his sweet nature and love of life will live on in our memories.
Sammy was being fostered in FL.
