Kato in WAFrom Kato's adopter:Kato in WA running along the beach cropped

The feisty boy I adopted thirteen years ago crossed over the rainbow bridge today with a bang. We loved him like crazy and he loved us back letting us know that he thought he should be in charge. Man this house will be empty without his presence.

*ADOPTED*

Kato is a beautiful little one year old guy with a face and attitude that makes you want to cuddle him. He's very friendly, enjoys playing with other dogs and has but one flaw which is being worked on - he is a serious marker.

This is Kato's "homework" while he is in foster care, but the right home for Kato will have a family that is committed to working with him on this issue and understands he will need more work when he comes into his new home. Check our behavior resources link to learn more about marking behavior and house training.

Kato was surrendered because of his marking and house training behaviors. He spent his days confined outdoors in the breezeway because of this.

Now that he's in good graces (and a belly band) and living in a home, he is delighted with the attention.

Like all our dogs, Kato will be altered and up to date with his vaccinations before he is ready for his forever home. Please fill out an application to adopt Kato at www.havaneserescue.com - the adoption application allows us to find the best home possible for Kato.
