Junie came into HRI  October 25, 2010, fostered by Karen Horne until her adoption May 17, 2011. She passed from cancer on  November 25, 2013. Junie was a much-loved Havanese girl, and she will be missed very much.

Junie  is a young 6-7 yr old girl chockfull of love, and grateful for any and all attention or gifts bestowed upon her. She loves everyone and greets life with a smile, wiggles, and non-stop wagging tail.

She weighs 11 lbs., is housetrained, walks very well on leash, and loves to cuddle on the couch with her foster mom. She enjoys the company of other dogs, going for a car ride, and sits nicely for treats. And like any Havanese she is velcro and wants nothing more than to have her people close by.

Her coat was shaved and is growing in very nicely, wavy with small patches of black over grey & white. A good diet & excellent appetite combined with great medical care has made the difference in bringing out the beauty that Junie had hidden beneath her mats when she was rescued from the streets of NYC.

Junie has healed nicely after removal of benign mammary tumors and repair of a cherry eye, and just knows that 2011 will be her year for finding a loving furever family of her own.

Junie is being fostered on Long Island, NY.

A donation will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended donation amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any.  A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!

Changing lives ... one Havanese at a time.
