georgiesmilesOn October 25th, 2011, Georgie came to his forever home with us in Minnesota.  Georgie quickly became the center of the family, pawing his way deep into our hearts, instantly! From the first night that he hopped into bed with us, Georgie was always so content just to be with us.  Georgie loved belly rubs, he loved a select few speaker toys, and adored a brisk rump rub by daddy.

Georgie came to us at just the right time. I was awaiting a transplant for a severe autoimmune disease that causes intense pain. Georgie became my therapy dog, always knowing just when I needed him most, he would curl up with me until my pain lessened.  As my disease progressed and my transplant was stalled, Georgie kept me active with daily walks and kept my spirits up with lots of snuggles, kisses, and cuddles.Georgie_and_globe_1

Georgie was pure love; that is the best way to describe him.  There wasn't a person who came into contact with Georgie who didn't instantly adore and love him.  The loss of Georgie is tremendous and he took a piece of our hearts with him when he left. Our lives will never be quite the same without our darling Georgie boy.

On October 25th, 2013, Georgie died, peacefully, in my arms.  After just a week long battle with a rare and aggressive cancer, our little boy went to Heaven.  Georgie kissed me one last time and then took his last breath.  And even though two years wasn't enough time with our Georgie, it was a wonderful time, filled with a lifetime of love.

We love you, Georgie! You are missed each and every day,
Mommy and Daddy
