PepperTN face onlyPepper is a precious, quiet little three-year old. She came to rescue with cataracts. Since her surgery to have cataracts removed and her vision restored, Pepper’s true personality has appeared.

She’s out-going, has found that sassy Havanese prance and enjoys her romps around the house chasing her foster-brothers. She loves to be outdoors. Many times she’ll signal that she needs to go out, but once out she lets go of all of that pent-up energy and runs and blitzes. She’s also realized that she can sit on the patio and see over the fence. Its’ been amPepper Face fullazing to watch her notice the birds and squirrels that are on the other side of the fence.

Completely housebroken, Pepper will alert you when she needs to go outside. She loves her outside trips, running and prancing about.  She seems to come to life when she can run and jump. Pepper is also a snuggler; she will burrow in and make herself cozy in your lap, by your head -- wherever she can nestle, and has been known to howl if you sneak away and she wakes up and doesn’t see you. It’s a soft howl though… almost comical.

PepperTN forwardThose beautiful brown eyes gaze at you lovingly and before you know it, you’re catering to her every whim.  Pepper loves to snuggle at bedtime and always makes sure that you are within her eyesight. She’s not a “kisser” – not yet anyway.  She shows her affection by gently pawing at you until you pick her up, then she’ll snuggle into or against your neck.

For such a tiny girl, 9.8 lbs, she has a hearty appetite. She favors chicken and carrots over the peas and green beans – politely spitting those out.  The kibble, her foster family has learned, is much better tasting to her if they add a little beef or chicken broth to it
Pepper will make the ultimate, perfect, Havanese pet. She has adjusted so well to the foster family's busy household and even tolerates Gabby, the lory, talking to her. The foster mom sees the diva in that little body and enjoys watching her personality blossom.

Pepper is being fostered in TN.
