Oscar is a very handsome chocolate & white Havanese who recently turned 4 years old and is absolutely full of life and always ready to play. He is very inquisitive and loves to snoop around, loves to chase balls or other toys that squeak, loves to play with adults, other dogs his size, and older children.
Oscar wants to be with his people as much as possible and is always looking for something to pick-up so you will play with him as he follows you. He loves to look out the window and has mastered the skill of balancing on the back of the chair that has the best view of the woods and creek - he doesn't want to miss anything.
Oscar was the star at doggie camp and would be a great candidate for agility which would be a wonderful way for him to burn up energy, because he is a smart little dog and very treat motivated. He's mastered some tricks and can sit, lie down, spin, roll over and dance for you for those yummy treats!
Oscar is leash trained, and potty trained, but his new family would need to help him learn which door they want him to use and what signal to give. If you are looking to add a new bright-eyed fur family member, who loves to snuggle and has tons of energy, Oscar may be your perfect little guy. Oscar is a sturdy guy weighing just over 20 lbs. and because of his high energy
level he would do best in a home with children seven-years old and older. His perfect home would be with an experienced dog person who would work with him daily, perhaps in agility or wants to take him on runs through the countryside.
