When they passed out “cute”, Tucker got in line twice! This adorable boy is new to his foster home and HRI. He’s adjusting and is so far especially enamored of his foster dad. At night Tucker makes himself comfortable by sleeping on his foster dad’s head while in bed and during the day his favorite spot is next to his foster dad on the recliner.

Tucker is house trained and does his business outside in the fenced yard. So far he isn’t interested in hanging out there. He prefers to be with his family.

Tucker enjoys his walks on a leash. It’s unknown how he is with dogs overall. He has a Great Dane foster brother and so far the two leave each other alone. We also do not know how Tucker will interact with cats. He does well with respectful children over 10 years of age.

Tucker likes his crate and goes inside to relax and watch the household. It has no door and he seems to consider it a refuge.

We look forward to getting to know Tucker better. This sweet boy would do well with a quiet household and could be a good match for someone living in an apartment. He would really like to have a dad and family of his own.

If you're already smitten, feel free to complete an application; however, please be aware that our dogs must be in their foster homes for a minimum of two weeks for evaluation. This is for their benefit and yours to help ensure a successful placement in a permanent home.

A fee will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended fee amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any.  A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption.

Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
