Dea (Day-a) and Solo are a loving pair of bonded Havanese. Dea is a happy 11-year-old, 10-pound little girl with a most expressive, delicate face. Her coat is extremely soft, cream-colored on the lower half with a darker streak running along her back from her nose to the tip of her tail. Solo, a 10-year-old, 14-pound boy, has a cream-colored wavy coat with grey flecks throughout and dark tips on his ears. Both of these Havanese are so cute you just want to give them a hug!
Dea and Solo are wonderful travelers. They are very good on leash or in a stroller and sit quietly while you’re busy with something else. They’d be wonderful companions for someone who has a motor home and likes to travel. They recently spent a week at a convention and were happy and relaxed. Numerous people commented that they’d be great therapy dogs.
They love being together as well as with people and other older dogs. Neither are much into their young energetic puppy foster siblings, and they will send them packing with a nudge and a soft growl. Both Dea and Solo are good with children, but they prefer being with adults or older children. Their have no experience with cats. They’re crate trained and leash trained. Dea has to wear a doggie diaper at night because she’s had several surgeries to remove bladder stones. During the day time though, she will let you know when she needs to go outside. Solo is house trained. Their foster mom says they’re wonderful companions and perfect housemates. You’ll never be lonely when you take a seat on the sofa, either!
Solo and Dea are very sweet natured, with funny personalities that remind their foster mom of Archie and Edith from the popular 70's TV show "All in the Family." They’re such a cute couple! And because they’re bonded, they must be adopted as a pair, preferably into a family with adults and possibly older children. They’re looking for a family that will allow them to give all the love they have in their hearts (which is a lot)!
Dea and Solo are being fostered in Florida.
The recommended fee amount for these dogs is reduced because the dogs are seniors and are eligible for our Senior Advantage Program.
A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
