SmilingCoco6-15-12Mr. Coco is a three and a half year old master toy destroyer! He just loves squeaky toys and can kill a squeaker in less than five minutes. He has taught himself how to throw a toy in the air and then he chases it. Not only is he entertained but anyone watching is, too!

COCOCoco is working on the concept of fetch - he does run after what is thrown put doesn't believe it is necessary to bring it back to the thrower yet. He thinks the thrower of toys is very capable of going to get the toys without his help. He definitely wants and needs a home with a basket full of squeaky toys.

Coco has a wish list and right up there at the top of that list are lots of belly rubs. He really does like to snuggle and just turns into a rag doll. You can hold him on his back like a baby, rub his belly and he almost sighs.

Coco does love his food; we haven't found anything he won't eat. Even though it is extremely hard for him to contain his excitement he has learned to sit and wait for his food bowl to be put down.

Coco feels his job is to keep the backyard clear of all critters but especially those pesky squirrels. He is a very curious little dog and it can get him in trouble. We are working on the concept that not everything belongs to him or belongs in his mouth. He also has a very stubborn streak so he will need a home where they are willing to continue working on his manners.

Coco and his foster mom are currently going to family dog class in hopes of improving his manners.

Coco would like a family where someone is home all day as he does suffer with separation anxiety. He barks and whines when he is left behind and we can’t blame him, he’s Havanese – they like to be with their “people”.

Coco is being fostered in IL.

Changing lives ... one Havanese at a time.
